Renewal Got You Down? – We Can Help!

Making A Deal

Open Enrollment 2016 is well underway and with all the changes in the health insurance industry, renewing your policy for 2016 can be more confusing than ever.  Updating or qualifying for a federal subsidy, changes in your local network or available plans, and deciding whether or not to keep your grandfathered plan or apply for an ACA plan can leave you feeling frustrated.  But that’s where we come in.  Having an agent can help ease the stress of renewing your insurance policy as we help guide you through the process of making any necessary changes.  We can discuss networks, benefits, deductibles, and out-of-pocket limits and help you decide which policy best suits the needs of you and your family for 2016.

Keep in mind that now is the time to make any policy changes because under the Affordable Care Act, Open Enrollment only comes once a year.  If you do not make changes to your health plan during Open Enrollment (Nov. 1st, 2015 – Jan. 31st, 2016), you will not be able to do so until the next Open Enrollment unless you experience a Qualifying Life Event.

If you are newly eligible for a premium tax credit, that can also be an overwhelming prospect, but you can now apply for a federal subsidy in as little as ten minutes!  There’s no need for you to wait for hours on hold to talk to a Marketplace representative.  You can submit your application right online and have your eligibility results typically within 24 hours.  In addition, if you prefer to do your application over the phone, we will be happy to submit it for you securely and quickly.

Having an agent is now more important than ever, especially when it comes time for renewal!  Knowing you have a contact person you can count on to answer the phone, be available to discuss your plan, and listen to your needs can save you hours of time and frustration.  Keep in mind that having an agent comes at no additional cost to you.  It is one of the perks of being a Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina member.
