The annual symposium focuses on <strong> <\/strong>using the latest  digital and web strategies to address the health insurance industry\u2019s  most pressing challenges. This year\u2019s conference, titled <em>Connecting the Dots<\/em>, will focus on helping consumers understand and navigate health care reform.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will take place at BCBSNC\u2019s Durham campus from Oct.  23-25, 2013. Conference attendance is limited to Blue Cross Blue Shield  Plan professionals.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\">Participating Blue Plans will be  invited to present on relevant topics of their choice. In addition,  attendees will participate in presentations about using the latest in  web design and digital technology to address the changes coming to  health insurance in 2014, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Pursuit of the <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Virtuous<\/span> Quantified Life<\/strong>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Presented by Robert D. Furberg, senior clinical informaticist at  RTI International\u2019s Center for the Advancement of Health Information  Technology<!--more--><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Designing for Understanding<\/strong>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Presented by Stephen P. Anderson, author of \u201cSeductive Interactive Design\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sharing Technology Solutions and Best Practices Across the Blues<\/strong>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Presented by Michael B.
